YES

Today I joined Stroud CrossFit as I moved back home after school as most adult children my age do.

It must be a good omen to say that this will be the place that I stick with for a while to come cause after the workout when practicing gymnastic movements, I finally landed my first muscle up as well as my close friend for years.

We then proceeded to land a few after the initial one and well and…fuck…it felt so damn good.

I have been so close for weeks. Like, kept getting up to the rings and landing, but landing wrong. I was turning my wrists over really strange so that they weren’t stabilizing but instead turning through the rings. It was extremely frustrating.

Lets hope they continue to look like they did today and won’t be going back to old shitty habits like that.

Like is this real life. why are you talking to me about this now.

No Pity Fitness: Eating Like an Athlete: Paleo of Faileo?

nopityfitness:

I’m sure most of you have seen Christina Warinner’s “Debunking the Paleo Diet” presentation for TED. (If you haven’t click that link, bro).

Basically, she explained with science what I have been trying to say with common sense for a few years now. Nothing we eat today has any real connection…

I can agree with this. I eat Paleo for the most part, but lets face it, youre not gonna get the energy you need to knockout workouts like 13.5 solely on veggies and sweet potatoes. Im more liberal with my diet being that I will eat gluten free oats and rice occasionally and man, oh, man my energy levels stay pretty high for a while after consumption.

So rarely do I lift early in the morning. This was around 8am because my uncle from out of town came to visit and I offered him to come to a class. He likes to get his workouts in, in the morning and I like to go late afternoonish.

Need to work snatches more. Been a little while since I did heavy snatch work and could definitely feel that crunchiness I got going on in my left hand. Think this is 105#.

Lotta work needs to be done here. Butt comes up first, too far forward when starting, not getting nearly enough extension..oof.

h2o-and-cardio:

I’m looking for other short girls who have a hard time getting in shape because their weight distributes oddly in their small bodies (like myself). I will follow all of you!
